The capital markets have undergone a significant transformation since the founding of Global Electronic Trading Company in 1999. At that time, electronic trading was in its infancy.
Former floor traders, Stephen Schuler and Dan Tierney recognized they were witnessing the beginning of a paradigm shift in the financial markets. They believed technology would fundamentally change the way our markets function, and usher in a new era of efficiency, transparency, and competition. GETCO was created to be successful in this new environment.
